Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian TV presenter and actress. She's best known as the star of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. Born the only child to Romanian actors Valentin Platareu. Alexandra started her showbiz career in the early years of her life. By the time she turned 16, Alexandra had landed the leading roles in numerous TV dramas. In the Oscar nominated film Downfall her character as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudljunge was also a critically-acclaimed one. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also nominated for Oscars. Alexandra was associated with numerous important projects both locally as well as internationally. These projects comprise British biographical film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. Also, she was on the jury of the Transylvania International Film Festival, and also at Cannes Film Festival.
